Torrii...
If you were Terry Ryan, and Torrii Hunter just got knocked out of the season for 4-6 weeks, would you still be in the position to trade?
Before gametime yesterday our biggest hole according to most was a "big bat." One may arguethat by the games end, another oght those holes had been added: outfield depth. Suddenly, Jason Kubels injury seems more poignant. The idea of playing lew Ford every day doesnt do much to make me feel better. So, TR is suddenly pressed with questions like:
"Does a bat even help us right now?" Certainly we cant trade Stewart or Jones anymore so his other question may be "Can Cuddyer play Right field?"
Really it goes on and on. We may come to hear in the next day or two about a big deal that "almost went down." But it will probabally be a deal we werent that close on in the first place and it may not seem like a good time all of a sudden to make such moves for TR.
I am terribly saddened by this sudden developement in our season. More than that I am sick to think how this could hamper our attempts to improve for the stretch run and for next year.
