A BLOG OF THEIR OWN

I am a phoenetic speller. I, sometimes, dont know where commas, go. I am a lifelong baseball fan and the team which I cheer for is: The Minnesota Twins. Welcome to my blog. :) Brian Nawrocki

One to feel good about

The Twins took the series from arguably the hottest team in baseball this season when they beat the Oaktown A's 2-1 yesterday. 3 games = 5 runs = 2 wins. Even the one that got away from us was probabally winnable for teams with some offense. What I can't help but keep wondering is : how gawd awefully scary could this team be if it had just a little bit more offense?"

I've already delved into my opinions on this teams unbelievable pitching in a previous post. But let me tell ya again...its really good. For their efforts, Santana combined for 16 innings, 10 stike outs, 1 earned runs and 1 walk. Add both those efforts and you get two games that we are damn lucky to have won. There is some bizzarre math going on this year.

C'mon, your excited about this series

There is the teeniest, tiniest little part of me who stupidly hopes/wonders if we can run the table against the Bitchsox. For pride, for fun, just to make things interisting. I am excited for this series. Against my better judgement I am holding out just a mouse sized scrap of hope.

It's time to admitt, I HATE the Yankees. Now, my mom always said "hate is a strong word." THanks mom...I now only use that word when referring to the Yanks and to a slightly lesser extent, the White Sox.

Not only are they division rivals but back when there was only American West and East divisions I hated the Sox. Historically I haven't like the players much (Frank Thomas, Carl Everrett to name a few) but I also have hated the way they do business: Michael Jordan gets a call up? Come on!!!! I just dont like 'em.

So this series has even further implacations for me. Not only do I wish to cut into the impossible lead Chicago has on the division, but it's always fun to beat the team I loathe. (Remember when the Twins in 2001 beat the Yankees like 9 out of 10 times or something like that?)

So I will be watching with anticipation tonight. Wish our boys good luck.
