Umm..who are these guys again?

In case you missed it a few weeks ago I predicted (because I am a great baseball mind) that if the Twins scored more runs, they'd win more. I have worked dillegently to prove this theory and I have come up with the following official looking graph:

As you can see, we clearly win more (blue line goes up) when we score "more," runs. When we score "less," runs we loose (red line goes down.)

I'd like to see those punks at hardball times or Twinsgeek try to compete with indepth thingies like that.

Anyhoo...I am simply thrilled, nay, I am spoiled by the way Our Beloved Twins are playing lately. In particular one Matt Lecroy. Matt Lecroy has flat out owned the plate the last few games. Three HR's in two games. The guy is on fire. I have argued that he needed to get more AB's even a year ago. It is evident now that has some of the power we need. A platoon partner would be nice but when we face lefties there is no reason why Matty shouldn't be the DH.

So, am I excited? Yes, it's hard not to love how we are playing. Am I optimistic? YEs, look at yesterdays entry and you'll find Im reserving some optimisim for now. I stil say we're drawing against a tough hand. But it also seems that over the last week and a half(which is a stupidly small sample size) we are better than any of the teams ahead of us in the wild card standings. Un-officially we are now 3.5 back.

I'm going up north "camping," with some buds for my friends bachelor party. I think "camping," will mean playing PS2, flag football and poker. So, my baseball watching and my blog will suffer for the weekend. Hopefully I'm not dead tired and I will get something in on Sunday.

Cheer hard and knock on wood when Jon Gordon says stupid things like "Beltre has only had two hits off Twins pitching this year." CUz if you don't the very next thing he'll say (just like tonight) will be "A deep fly ball and this one is gone!" I'm putting this burden on you my fellow fans. Knock on that damn wood!
